It's for these characteristics that London is the birth city of many artists, two of which have recently been on the news for their incredible skills.

Many of you will be familiar with Banksy, famous for his graffiti art.

All his artworks represent something "bad" happening in the world and this artist has found an incredible way to give a voice to this common feeling.

Few weeks ago, everybody was talking about the mysterious theft of one of his graffiti, which was stolen and brought to Miami with the intent of selling it in a private auction.

Banksy, the unknown street artist, the poetic terrorist, the urban agitator... 

Who is Banksy? Nobody knows, his identity is one of the greatest secrets of Uk. We only can speak about  his struggle against the capitalism and his crusade for the human rights through his acid creativity.

Banksy beginnings

Banksy starts his activity in the 80s years in Bristol, as member of a group known as DryBreadZCrew.

But the true Banksy born  between 1992 and 1994 under the influence of Ad Jammers movement, group  dedicated to deforming public advertisements turning it in politic messages.

During this first years Banksy drown his city with graffiti of black rats doing different human  activities like dancing or taking photos.


One day  while he was painting a train coach, was discovered by the police. Banksy got away and hid below a rubbish lorry for 1 hour whilst trickled oil in his head. From this moment he started painting by stencil system.

After Banksy left Bristol and started display his art principally in London, but also in important cities like Barcelona or San Francisco.

Since Banksy moved out Bristol has protagonize a lot of scandal wich have turn over the basis of the society. Any social social matter is free of his satiric art vision. We can find him in a Palestine wall, or attempting against the most important museums in the world placing false artistic pieces. Diana of Wales in ten pound notes, Monna Lisa with a bazooka even Paris Hilton neither scape his critics.
